Alice Hornby Gets a Husband

And we're back to follow Alice on more wacky adventures in Bridgeport. Last time, Alice got a job as an investigator, although she ended up with less money after she solved a few cases than she had before. But she did build a cute little house...except it got broken into on her very first night and poor Alice was toilet-less for awhile. Let's see what she silly things she gets into this time around!

After going broke trying to solve the case of the missing mouthwash by bribing everybody she talked to, Alice decided that she needed to hone her investigating skills. So she promptly learned how to hack into computers...

...search trash bins for clues...

...and illegally break into mailboxes to rifle through the mail of her suspects. She was getting quite good at solving cases.

And if all else failed, she returned to her trusty standby: pretending to be a bush (in order to blend in with all that asphalt, of course) on a stakeout with her trusty pigeon friends.

Solving cases isn't the only thing our dear Alice Hornby was getting good at. She was also scoring big in the romance department. She had met Ebenezer Clavier while working a case, and she was immediately smitten with his neck scarf and mirror-tinted sunglasses. And don't even get her started on that beret-like hat. She's crazy about that hat.

She decided to woo this Ebenezer Clavier, and what's the best way to woo a man? Tell him a ghost story, of course. Seems to have worked anyway.

It didn't take long for Ebenezer to be bitten by the bug that is Alice Hornby. He loved her brown horn-rimmed glasses just as much as she liked his neck scarf. They fell hopelessly in love, beret-like hats and all.

Now Ebenezer Clavier is a musician, an accomplished yet unemployed pianist in fact, but he has also been known to serenade the ladies of Bridgeport with his guitar in the middle of the night. And Alice Hornby was no exception.

Alice and Ebenezer became an official couple that night, although rumors have it that Alice only asked him in order to stop the serenading so she could get some sleep. He accepted of course, and magically produced a bunch of pretty yellow flowers to mark the occasion.

Alice also decided to take the plunge and ask Ebenezer to marry her (of course, that couldn't possibly have been because she was out of money and desperately wanted to buy a new toilet..). As you can see, Ebenezer was delighted to become a Hornby, so why wait?

The happy, and sleepy, new couple exchanged vows and rings right there in the kitchen. (I totally forgot that I wanted to put her in one of the wedding dresses from that Romanza set, but they really didn't have the money for a big wedding anyway.) It was short and sweet, and Ebenezer Clavier became the second Hornby in Bridgeport.

Ebenezer loves classical music (the pianist part makes sense now), stu surprise, and the color spiceberry. He can best be described as an unflirty sort of fellow who likes neck-scarves and bowties. He is an all-around good guy, although he can be a bit of a perfectionist at times. He's also an artistic daredevil, because it is well known that you can seldom have one without the other. (Translation: unflirty, good, perfectionist, daredevil, artistic). He has big dreams of becoming a Hit Movie Composer although he is currently unemployed. (Also, this picture reminds me that he desperately needs a makeover!)

Welcome to the Hornby family, Ebenezer! May you bring forth lots of super cute babies, or die in the next stove fire. No pressure though.
